Warehouse Operative

We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to support our Warehouse Team Leader with the day-to-day running of all typical activities in our local warehouse (Langley - moving to Stanwell) The ROLE PROFILE IS BELOW

 Langley at present, warehouse move to Stanwell which will take place in August / September 2018


Working Hours

37.5 hours per week 6.30am to 3pm (some optional weekend overtime available)


Role Description:

To support Warehouse Team Leader with the day-to-day running of all warehouse activities for office furniture solutions company Kinnarps UK.

Responsibility and Activity:


  • * To carry out key warehouse duties, including off loading and re-loading of furniture from trucks from our factory in Sweden, waste disposal and recycling.
  • * Daily picking for next day, loading these products when vehicles become available
  • * Answer daily stock and delivery queries
  • * Utilise the loading lists, be able to navigate the planning sheets and print delivery paperwork
  • * Help manage stock levels and the movement of all stock in/out of designated locations to ensure customer orders and sales requests are fulfilled:
  • * Manage, track and maintain evaluation chair stock levels.
  • * To manage ‘short shipped’ / late deliveries with 3rd party suppliers.  
  • * To goods receipt and label all 3rd party items with order number, out date and customer name.
  • * To manage monthly ‘product / item’ returns as required by Kinnarps AB and our suppliers.
  • * To support and cover for Warehouse Team Leader activities as and when required including use of fork lifts and on site equipment – moving vans within the yard etc.
  • * To undertake weekly ‘cycle counts’ to audit stock levels.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • * To demonstrate a good understanding of the Kinnarps TANGO processes i.e. MOVEX, and the relevant role specific routines (Training given where necessary).
  • * To have an in-depth knowledge of Kinnarps and 3rd party products including the supplier ordering and delivery processes.
  • * Full valid driving licence
  • * Fork lift licence
  • * Good Microsoft Office, (Excel and Word) and Lotus Notes skills.
  • * Good spoken and written communication skills.
  • * Ability to effectively load and unload vehicles, good manual handling skills.
  • * Behave at all times with a responsible attitude.
  • * The ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • * Good time management skills with the ability to organise and prioritise. Manage peaks and troughs in workload.
  • * Good interpersonal skills, can do attitude and approachable nature.
  • Awareness of and good practice in Health and Safety principles.
