With a total of 49,000 employees worldwide, Scania is one of the leading manufacturers of trucks and buses, offering sales and services in more than 100 countries.

The catalyst of their recent project at their HQ in Milton Keynes was to provide their staff with a better working environment with ergonomics at the forefront of their minds. The new work setting needed to be environmentally friendly, efficient and economical to be in keeping with Scania’s culture and new branding.

It was imperative that the MK project delivered value for money and that the quality of furniture enabled the staff to work in an agile manner. Scania also needed suppliers to work within tight building work deadlines and strict project management directives, so it was important that Kinnarps were able to deliver the furniture on time and in the manner required.

Having won the competitively tendered project, Kinnarps were tasked with sourcing a wide range of furnishings for a complete solution; one of the key challenges of this project.
