With a glimpse of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic and the return to the offices, the project team at Keysight Spain has faced a great challenge: to build a space that was, at the same time, safe, flexible and that recaptures each employee’s interest in the office space after a long period working exclusively from home.
To achieve this goal, the team focused on designing a project to transform the traditional workspace, made up only of workstations and a couple of meeting rooms, into an activity based working space, with a numerous types of spaces guided by the different activities carried out each day by the employees.
In collaboration with the design team at Kinnarps Spain, and with the different and creative furniture solutions proposed, the project became reality and materialized in the 2000m2 space.
“Kinnarps has played a crucial role in Keysight's Barcelona office renovation project. Kinnarps has been in charge of putting colour, style and comfort, with its sustainable and high-quality furniture. In addition, I would like to highlight, beyond the furniture itself, its great contribution and influence on the general design of the offices, advising and always guiding on what was the best solution for each case. It was noted that they made a very important effort to learn about the story telling of the project. Kinnarps has been impregnated at all times with our illusion in carrying out this great change in times of pandemic and it has been reflected in its commitment to provide solutions and responses to our requests from the beginning to the end. Without a doubt, we will count on Kinnarps for future projects!”
Choosing Polaris benches for the workstations was a turning point for the project. They brought flexibility allowing all tables that are fixed now to be updated in the future and converted into sit/stand tables, optimizing the customer investment. Space lockers with flower boxes complete the set, adding functionality, aesthetics and biophilia to the space.
The Fields sofa collection, distributed in the open space, provide perfect support for informal meetings that arise throughout the day.
Different types of meetings require a space that can be constantly reconfigured. Foldex tables are ideal for this purpose, allowing the same space to have numerous uses.
A coffee area designed for a break in the daily routine, but at the same time suitable for informal meetings or tasks that require a low level of concentration.
Large formal meeting rooms are still needed; however, the new, smaller videoconference rooms are quickly becoming very popular! The use of the Embrace chair in both rooms brings unity to the project.
