Agile Working for Success
Adapting to agile working or activity-based working for success

In a world of bespoke ideas and tailored products, agile working or activity-based working is a concept of a customised solution for every workspace. This is where an organisation gives flexibility and empowerment to its employees in choosing how and where to work for increased productivity.
Agile working is designed for the physical environment as opposed to flexible working which is for employees choosing to work at different hours or work from home. An agile workplace is easily adjustable for varying roles, and even freelancing or outsourcing employees as it is not necessary for everyone to have their own work stations.
Ideally, agile working can help with reducing costs whilst also covering the need for space when accommodating growth in the workforce.
Agile working has a lot in play, with colour coordinated brand colours to acoustic measures and modernised furniture.
There are three recent examples of organisation asking Kinnarps to incorporate agile working into their working practices.
In the case of Ahlshell, separate zones were created with smart furniture and for employees individual lockers were adopted for a clean and tidy work space, this also reflected the company working style and therefore, it was a natural transition to activity-based working. The separate zones are multi-functional spaces, for conducting meetings or focused self-working, therefore, it reflects the different styles of working the employees may exhibit. Naturally, a booth is a very flexible setting suitable for a variety of tasks, from concentration working to informal discussions.
4Service wanted to accommodate their employees in user-friendly solutions at Valle Wood, the colour coordinated wood furnishing showed the brand’s vision towards sustainability, and the modernised furniture matched the architecture of their building and urbanised location.
At BNP Paribas eco-friendly environments where open-plan settings were made for collaboration and to hold informal meetings or project management presentations. Employees could also set up their own workspaces anywhere within the setting with fully-electronically adjustable desks. This created a smart and accommodating work place giving flexibility to employees to work in different styles.
