SIX AREAS FOR BETTER EFFECT
This is how it works: In our online tool, we grade our products in six important areas. Together, these give a comprehensive picture of the product’s sustainability. We also show which indicators we use as the basis for our grading in each index area. The online tool offers you the possibility to compare the products’ over all scores as well as their individual scores in different areas.
AREA 1. RAW MATERIALS AND RESOURCES
Why? To make sure that materials do not burden the environment unnecessarily.
Indicators: Knowledge of the origin of the raw materials. Knowledge of conditions in the production chain. Resource optimisation.
AREA 2. CLIMATE
Why? By making smart choices we can reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Indicators: Transportation. Production and processes. Choice of materials.
AREA 3. PURE MATERIALS
Why? We do not want to use any materials och chemicals which have a negative influence on people or environment.
Indicators: Chemicals in the production. Emissions. Good material choice.
AREA 4. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Why? We want to make sure that our products are made in a good working environment.
Indicators: Code of conduct . Supplier follow-up. Follow up in high-risk countries.
AREA 5. REUSE
Why? Designing products that can be refurbished and reused is a good way of reducing the use of resources.
Indicators: Possible to repair and renovate? Possible to recycle materials? Made of recycled material?
AREA 6. ERGONOMICS
