CAPTURING THE BEST WAYS TO WORK
Having explored the 3Cs concept (Collaboration, Concentration & Contemplation), derived from Prof Jeremy Myerson's writing in 'New Demographic New Workspace', we have re-imagined our London showroom as an exemplar of modern working with a twist. With the rising popularity of co-working spaces, we are exploring how a co-creative space can exist as a showcase for multiple suppliers, demonstrating a holistic agile working environment under one roof.

UK managing director Ashley Hayward explains the origins of Workplace House:
“I was thinking about the volume of cavernous showroom space in Clerkenwell used to display product. It struck me that so much of it is just a static exhibition, not displaying any real customer benefit other than a visual taster. Organisations are looking to create fantastic places for employees to make their business a success, so shouldn’t we be physically demonstrating best practice in that regard and offering a more immersive experience?”
This led to the formation of a consortium of like-minded partners - all specialists in their own fields of flooring, partitioning, technology and workplace experience. Under the banner Workplace House, the Clerkenwell showroom is now designed as an example of an agile working environment where people from different organisations work together under the same roof - a situation that resonates with many clients, as this is often the case in their own organisations. Removing the silo mentality of teams is a key to designing modern workspaces, so 'walking the talk' is a demonstration of Kinnarps commitment to helping customers create the best in collaborative environments that boost engagement and productivity.
